RAMON LEON Nació en Caracas, Venezuela. Vivió en San Francisco CA, durante 5 años y luego se mudó a Miami donde reside actualmente.

Ramón León es un director de arte galardonado con más de quince años de experiencia internacional. Hijo de artista plástico, Ramón creció rodeado de arte y desde muy temprano desarrolló una sensibilidad por la comunicación visual. Comenzó a dibujar sus “Fantasmas” durante su adolescencia, una obsesión que lo ha acompañado desde entonces y que ha resultado en un increíble trabajo. Ramón ha trabajado en Caracas, San Francisco y Miami, para compañías como Leo Burnett, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Channel, 3CICLO Image Group y más recientemente, NBCUniversal International Distribution Telemundo. Ramón también es un ilustrador consumado con inmenso interés en libros artísticos y por material impreso. Su trabajo de diseño gráfico ha sido reconocido con más de 15 galardones internacionales, incluyendo: 8 PromaxBDA World Gold Awards. 5 IRPC (International Reggae Poster Contest) y 3 Annual Florida Print Awards, entre otros.

¿Qué consideras quería decir Flannery O´Connor con esa frase?

Esa es una creencia. Por muchos años era muy difícil tener acceso al arte. La tecnología ha logrado darnos acceso, yo sigo de cerca a instituciones y artistas que admiro. Antes era impensable.

El arte ha de estar al alcance, ser notable. Por suerte, alrededor del mundo hay movimientos en las principales ciudades en la que la interacción con el arte es algo cotidiano, presente en la rutina de los ciudadanos.

Hace unos años cuando llevaba a mi hija a su Colegio pasábamos por el Design District y Wynwood, estacionábamos el carro y fotografiamos algún mural. Uno diferente cada día. Hicimos alrededor de 300 fotos. Seleccionamos las favoritas e imprimimos un librito “Murales Uniformados” (#muralesuniformados) conocimos muchos artistas e hicimos más divertidas las idas al Colegio.

Hay que hacer posible que la gente se interese más en el arte y que tengan acceso al mismo.

I was able to spot one of my Posters in Mexico and Cyprus! Great!!!

International Reggae Poster Contest 2014

Two Posters were selected in the 100 Winners list! for THE IRPC 2014 (International Reggae Poster Contest) Numbers 41 and 54. Here are also other posters submitted for the competitition. The Posters were selected to be part of The 13th International Reggae Poster Contest Exhibition, “The Art of Reggae,” on August 14, 2015 at the beautiful Andador Héroes plaza in Chetumal, Mexico.
